SynthPDF started from a simple frustration: every good PDF tool costs money, requires a sign-up, or throttles you after two uses. We built the tools we wanted to exist — free, fast, and privacy-respecting.
Our mission
Document processing should not require an enterprise contract. Whether you're a student extracting data from a research paper, a freelancer creating an invoice, or an HR manager redacting sensitive information before sharing — you shouldn't have to pay $20/month for a tool you'll use three times.
We offer 50+ PDF and AI document tools for free. No watermarks on exports. No file count limits that reset after a week. No dark patterns that bait-and-switch you at download time.
For users who need more — higher file size limits, priority processing, and API access — we offer a Pro plan that funds the free tier.
Privacy by design
- →Browser-side tools (merge, split, protect, unlock) process your files entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your PDF never touches our servers.
- →Server-side tools (AI chat, compression, OCR) temporarily process your file and delete it within 30 minutes. We do not read, store, or analyse document content.
- →We do not sell data. We do not train AI models on user documents.
